🩺 Key Responsibilities
As an L&D RN, you will:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process
- Perform thorough assessments and identify patient care needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Monitor patient progress and evaluate outcomes
- Collaborate closely with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Promote a safe, healing, compassionate, and patient-centered environment
- Educate patients and families regarding care, treatment, and health needs
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care
- Appropriately delegate and coordinate activities among healthcare team members
- Apply sound clinical judgment and critical thinking in patient care situations
- Maintain professional standards of nursing practice and patient safety
📋 Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- BLS certification from an approved provider
- ACLS certification
- NRP certification
- Labor & Delivery experience
- Acute-care experience preferred
- BSN preferred
