Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab
Facility: Northwest Texas Healthcare System
Location: 1501 Coulter Street, Amarillo, TX 79106
Start Date: 10/19/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10-Hour Day Shift
Schedule: 4 days/week, 40 hours/week
Patient Ratio: Not specified
Charting System: Not specified
Float Required: Yes – may work in Cath Lab or EP Lab based on department needs
Call Requirement: Cath Lab call required
Note: Position requires experienced EP/Cath Lab RN with recent acute care experience.
Position Overview:
Experienced RN supporting the Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab, providing care for patients undergoing emergency and elective cardiac procedures, including angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology procedures, and pacemaker implantation.
Job Duties:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
- Assist with emergency and elective angioplasty and cardiac intervention procedures.
- Support electrophysiology procedures, including pacemaker implantation.
- Monitor patients and provide appropriate nursing interventions throughout procedures and recovery.
- Participate in Cath Lab/EP Lab operations and respond to assigned on-call needs.
Requirements:
License: Current RN license to practice in the state/district required.
Experience: Experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with recent acute care experience required.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
Other Requirement: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired. Must reside 100+ miles from the facility.
