Job Summary
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Cardiac Cath Lab/Electrophysiology (EP) Lab in Fort Worth. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology and cardiac procedural interventions while collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care throughout the procedural experience.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac/EP procedures.
- Assist with electrophysiology procedures and related cardiac interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, and changes in patient condition.
- Recognize and promptly communicate significant changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia/procedural staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, treatment, and recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Follow applicable nursing standards, Texas Nursing Practice Act requirements, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based nursing practices.
Requirements
- Active RN license eligible to practice in Texas.
- BSN required.
- BLS – AHA only required.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
- Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience required.
- Previous Cardiac Cath Lab/EP experience strongly aligned with the role.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a specialized cardiac procedural environment.
