Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) | Direct Hire

Location: Show Low, AZ

Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire (Full-Time, 36 hrs/week)

Pay Rate: $31.00 – $47.00 / hour (DOE)

Bonus Package: Up to $15,000 Total ($10,000 Sign-On Bonus + $5,000 Relocation Assistance)

Position Overview

A premier regional medical center in Show Low, Arizona is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a full-time, direct-hire night shift position. Deliver compassionate, high-acuity critical care within a close-knit 12-bed Intensive Care Unit featuring favorable 1:2 patient ratios, 24/7 dedicated respiratory therapy support, and comprehensive unit ancillary staff.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to complex adult ICU patients (typical acuity includes STEMI, post-cardiac cath, vents, ARDS, DKA, sepsis, and post-tPA stroke recovery).
Manage critical drips (including Levophed, Propofol, Precedex, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, and weight-based Heparin).
Monitor invasive hemodynamic lines (A-lines) and mechanical ventilation.
Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team comprising physicians, RTs, PCTs, and hospitalists.

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of recent clinical RN experience in an acute care ICU.
Active Arizona RN license or compact Multi-State RN license.
Active AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Proficient with mechanical ventilators, arterial lines, and vasoactive titration drips (IABP experience is a plus, but not required).

Role & Employment Type: Direct Hire / Permanent (2 Open Positions); 36 hours/week guaranteed on 12-Hour Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM). Schedule & Weekends: Modified self-scheduling (accommodates block scheduling where possible); minimum 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling block. No on-call required. May float to ED or Med/Surg only if experienced. Base Compensation: $31.00 – $47.00/hour depending on years of acute critical care experience. Bonus Incentives ($15,000 Total): $10,000 Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 paid at 90 days; $5,000 paid at 12 months (no repayment required). $5,000 Relocation Assistance: Typically paid out on the first paycheck (requires a 1-year commitment; repayable if leaving before 12 months). Unit Dynamics: 12 beds; standard 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. 24/7 dedicated in-unit RT, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries. 24/7 Administrative Shift Coordinator in house. Clinical Scope: Post-heart cath, STEMI, mechanical vents (typically 1–2 on unit), DKA, sepsis, CVA after tPA, A-lines, hypothermia protocols, and multi-titration vasoactive drips. Submission Packet Checklist: Clean resume (showing bed size, trauma level, and dates in MM/YY), completed cover page, ICU skills checklist, Nursys license verification (AZ or Compact), BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and professional references.
