Job Title: Registered Nurse – Level II Special Care Nursery (SCN / NICU) | Direct Hire

Location: Show Low, AZ

Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire (Full-Time, 36 hrs/week)

Pay Rate: $31.00 – $47.00 / hour (DOE)

Bonus Package: Up to $15,000 Total ($10,000 Sign-On Bonus + $5,000 Relocation Assistance)

Position Overview

A premier regional medical center in Show Low, Arizona is seeking a compassionate, skilled Level II Special Care Nursery (SCN) / NICU Registered Nurse for a full-time, direct-hire night shift position. Deliver specialized neonatal care in an intimate 8-bed Level II Special Care Nursery supported by 24/7 NNP and Neonatology coverage within a community hospital delivering ~800–900 births annually.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality clinical care and monitoring to moderate-risk neonates and premature infants in an 8-bed Level II Special Care Nursery.
Administer medications, initiate IV access, manage phototherapy, and monitor neonatal vital signs and feeding progressions.
Support stabilization protocols for neonates requiring medical transfer or transport to tertiary care facilities.
Partner with mothers and families on infant care, breastfeeding/nutrition support, and discharge education.
Collaborate closely with NNPs, neonatologists, pediatricians, and labor & delivery clinical teams.

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of recent clinical RN experience in a Level II Special Care Nursery (SCN) or Level II/III NICU.
Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Compact / Multi-State RN license.
Active AHA BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.

Role & Employment Type: Direct Hire / Permanent (2 Open Positions); 36 hours/week guaranteed on 12-Hour Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM). Base Compensation: $31.00 – $47.00/hour based on neonatal nursing experience. Bonus Incentives ($15,000 Total): $10,000 Sign-On Bonus: Paid in two installments ($5,000 at 90 days; $5,000 at 12 months) with no repayment penalty. $5,000 Relocation Assistance: Paid on the first paycheck; requires a 1-year commitment (repayable if leaving prior to 12 months). Unit Dynamics & Scope: 8-bed Level II Special Care Nursery (SCN); ~800 to 900 births per year. 24/7 on-site/on-call NNP and Neonatology availability. High-acuity neonates are stabilized and airlifted to Phoenix. Required Certifications: Active AHA BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required. Submission Packet Checklist: Clean resume (showing facility names, bed size, and dates in MM/YY), completed cover page, SCN/NICU skills checklist, Nursys license verification (AZ or Compact), and professional references (if available). Requires 2+ years of SCN/NICU experience.
