Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D / Couplet Care) | Direct Hire

Location: Show Low, AZ

Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire (Full-Time, 36 hrs/week)

Pay Rate: $31.00 – $47.00 / hour (DOE)

Bonus Package: Up to $15,000 Total ($10,000 Sign-On Bonus + $5,000 Relocation Assistance)

Shift: 12-Hour Days or 12-Hour Nights (3x12s | 36 Hours Guaranteed)

Position Overview

A premier regional hospital in Show Low, Arizona is seeking experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses for full-time, direct-hire roles with both Day and Night shifts available. Deliver comprehensive labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care within a collaborative maternal-child health unit supporting ~830 annual births with favorable 1:2 labor ratios.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct bedside nursing for laboring mothers, couplet care/postpartum patients, and triage evaluations (7 L&D, 2 triage, and 10 postpartum beds).
Perform advanced electronic fetal monitoring, interpret tracing strips, and execute rapid interventions for fetal distress and pre-eclampsia.
Circulate C-sections and manage immediate neonatal stabilization and recovery.
Initiate emergent obstetrical protocols independently while coordinating with on-call OB/GYN and neonatal providers.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3+ years of recent clinical RN experience in Labor & Delivery (including C-section circulating).
Active Arizona RN license or valid Compact / Multi-State RN license.
Active AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required.
Strong assessment skills managing high-risk obstetrical patients and OB emergencies.

Openings & Shift: 10 Total Perm Roles (5 Days / 5 Nights) | 3x12s, 36 hrs/wk guaranteed. Call: 1 shift per 4-week block. Pay & Bonuses: $31.00 – $47.00/hr + $10K sign-on ($5K at 90 days, $5K at 12 mos) + $5K relocation (1-yr commitment). Unit Scope & Ratios: 7 L&D, 2 Triage, 10 Postpartum beds (~830 births/yr; 1–3 births/day). 1:2 labor ratios. L&D + Couplet Care. Clinical Note: OB/Neonatologist is on-call (not in-house); RNs must be sharp with high-risk OB emergencies and pre-eclampsia until physician arrives. C-section experience required. Support: 24/7 RT on unit, OB scrub techs, HUCs, PCTs, and 24/7 pharmacy. May float to Med/Surg if census drops. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring required. AZ/Compact license. Submittal Packet: Resume (showing facility/bed size & MM/YY dates), cover page, L&D skills checklist, Nursys report, and references.
