Position Overview

KTI Health is seeking a qualified Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Amarillo, Texas. This position is ideal for an RN with at least 1 year of experience who is interested in working in a fast-paced Operating Room environment.

The unit welcomes first-time travelers, making this an opportunity for experienced OR nurses who are transitioning into travel nursing.
 

Schedule

Day Shift – 4x10 Hours

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating day off
• Call: Required
• Expected commitment: 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Operating Room experience
• BLS certification required
• Epic/EPIC charting experience
• Must be comfortable working scheduled call
• First-time travelers are accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and high-quality nursing care to surgical patients.
• Assist with patient preparation before surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a safe and efficient Operating Room environment.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Complete accurate patient documentation using Epic.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical and nursing team.
• Participate in required call coverage.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and applicable nursing standards.

Important Assignment Information

• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible.
• The unit accepts first-time travelers.
• Call is required as part of the assignment.
• Schedule includes a rotating day off.

Compensation

💰 Pay Rate: $55/hour
💵 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,200/week
