The PCU is a fast-paced intermediate-care unit caring for:

• Intermediate medical patients
• Surgery overflow
• TURP
• Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
• Laparoscopic appendectomy
• Laparoscopic hernia procedures
• Eye surgery
• Oral surgery
• Diabetic teaching
• Wound care

The unit supports patient throughput from both the ED and OR.
