Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Job Summary

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) provides coordinated, patient-centered nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process.

The RN works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, supervises and directs assigned nursing staff as appropriate, and uses critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.

Position Requirements

• Shift: Night Shift
• Schedule: 36 or 48 hours/week
• EPIC Experience: Required
• Recent Emergency Department (ED) Experience: Required
• Experience: More than 2 years required; 3+ years preferred
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Special Scheduling Requests: Not accommodated
• Scheduling will be based on the department's staffing needs.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Previous acute-care facility experience: Preferred
• Recent Emergency Department experience is required.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice — Required
• CPR/BLS certification — Required
