CT Technologist

Job Summary

The CT Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department standards and established protocols. The technologist is responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic studies, safely operating imaging equipment, and positioning patients appropriately for procedures.

The role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, initiative, and attention to patient safety. The technologist must be flexible, dependable, accountable, and willing to adjust work hours based on department needs.

Position Details

• Schedule: Friday–Sunday
• Shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Call: No Call
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Contract Start: After November 14, 2026
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Radiology experience required
• CT Experience: Less than 1 year of CT experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all imaging examinations provided by the department according to established procedures and protocols.
• Provide safe, age-appropriate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
• Independently obtain high-quality diagnostic images using appropriate techniques.
• Operate and utilize imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
• Set up equipment and prepare the imaging area for procedures.
• Properly position patients for diagnostic examinations.
• Verify appropriate equipment setup and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
• Work independently while maintaining department standards and quality requirements.
• Remain flexible and cooperative to meet changing departmental needs.

Required Certifications

• ARRT-R – ARRT Radiography — Required
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography — Required
• BLS — Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • American Red Cross BLS (ARC-BLS)
  • BLS Instructor (BLS-I)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Radiology experience — Required
• Less than 1 year of CT experience — Preferred
