New York State Certification

Registered Dietitian

Required Education:
-Graduate from accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition.
Preferred Education: -Master's degree.

Required Skills & Experience: -Minimal one (1) year of experience. Preferred Skills & Experience: -Two (2) years of experience.

Departmental Preferences:

Competent with electronic medical charting systems – PointClick Care, SigmaCare etc.; MDS 3.0

Competent with electronic menu systems: CBORD, NetMenu, GeriMenu etc.

Responsible for the provision of nutritional care to patients/residents from different populations and disease states including nutrition education to patients/residents and/or family members in Long Term Acute Care Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility. Participates in performance improvement activities. Acts as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
