Description
We are seeking an experienced Travel Cath Lab Tech to join a busy Level I Trauma acute-care facility. The Cath Lab has 6 suites/labs and performs approximately 10–15 cases per day.
The ideal candidate will have strong previous Cath Lab experience and be comfortable with scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Scrub Cath Lab procedures
- Monitor hemodynamics
- Circulate during procedures
- Provide support for a variety of cardiac cases
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other Cath Lab staff
- Participate in rotating call, weekend, and holiday coverage
Department Details
- 6 Cath Lab suites/labs
- Average 10–15 cases per day
- Cath Lab is separate from IR and EP
- Cardiologists are on call 24/7, 365 days/year
- Primary charge nurse coverage: 0600–1530
- Charge nurse does not routinely perform cases but participates in call
- Techs are not currently required to float
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Department orientation: approximately 3–5 days
Required Qualifications
- Previous Cath Lab experience required
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
- IEMA certification
- Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- Pediatric experience preferred, but not required
- McKesson Cardiology PACS experience preferred, but not required
