We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of acute-care nursing experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills, be comfortable working 12-hour day shifts, and be willing to work every other weekend and float as needed. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the shift.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in clinical condition.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor vital signs, labs, cardiac status, and other relevant clinical indicators.
• Recognize and appropriately respond to changes in patient condition.
• Use NIHSS skills when caring for patients with potential or confirmed neurological/stroke-related concerns.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
• Assist with emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition.
• Provide handoff communication to ensure continuity of care.
• Float to other appropriate units as assigned based on staffing and patient-care needs.

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts
• Willingness to work every other weekend
• Willingness to float to other appropriate units as needed
