Elementary Special Education Teacher – Easton, MD
Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!
PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based position in the Easton, MD area for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Details
- Pay: $48–$55 per hour
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June 14, 2027
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Setting: Elementary School
- Caseload: Approximately 10–15 students at a time
- In-person position
- Services are primarily provided within the general education setting
Student Population
Students may have a variety of needs and eligibility areas, primarily including:
- Other Health Impairment (OHI)
- Learning Disabilities
- Autism
- Language Impairment
Qualifications
- Current Maryland Special Education Teacher certification required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Experience supporting students in inclusive/general education environments preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support based on individual student needs and IEP goals
- Support students primarily within the general education classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional strategies as needed
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and evaluations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, related service providers, and other members of the educational team
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs
