Description
Shift: 6:45a - 7:15p - rotating to nights approx 12 shifts per 13 week contract, 6:45p-7:15a.
Certifications required: BSN, ACLS, BLS..
Years of experience required: 2+...
Experience required: MICU exp required....
13 weeks...
Block scheduling can be considered...
Every Other Weekend, Friday/Saturday...
No Call...
Holiday requirement: One Winter Holiday (Eve and Day)...
Floating: Yes, to ICU, intermediate, and telemetry units...
Charting system: EPIC…
Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs...

Pros
Some of the nurses in the MICU are some of the best people I have ever met. Very high acuity patients but I learned a lot. Amazing teamwork and camaraderie
Cons
The facility is literally falling apart and staffing is terrible sometimes. Management is not as great and supportive as it used to be. Patient population can be difficult to work with (lots of ETOH, withdrawal, ODs, etc)
