We are seeking an experienced CT/X-Ray Technologist for a contract opportunity in Washington. The technologist will perform CT and radiologic imaging procedures under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Radiologist, while providing safe, accurate, and compassionate patient care.

The position involves working with a Toshiba Aquilion 64-slice CT scanner and may include CT procedures of an invasive nature.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations, including procedures of an invasive nature as required.
• Position and instruct patients appropriately for imaging procedures.
• Operate CT and other specialized radiology equipment.
• Determine appropriate technical factors for imaging exposure.
• Apply knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy during CT procedures.
• Ensure accurate marking and labeling of images/films.
• Transport and position patients safely using proper body mechanics.
• Provide safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Exercise accurate judgment and decision-making consistent with radiology knowledge and skills.
• Provide professional customer service to patients.
• Perform computer-based documentation and imaging-related tasks.
• Participate in required call coverage.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an approved AMA school of Radiology.
• Registered ARRT technologist.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Strong computer skills.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and transport patients and equipment.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding imaging environment.
• Ability to work the required Monday–Friday schedule and participate in call.

Preferred Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of diagnostic imaging experience is desirable.
• Previous CT experience.
• Experience with Toshiba Aquilion or similar CT equipment.
