Description
Performs the following US studies: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pedi, Basic Vascular, small parts. May perform Interventional procedures. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that two points of patient identification is obtained, that patient is properly prepared, and obtains a relevant patient history. Reviews the patient s chart to obtain pertinent clinical history, test results and laboratory data as they apply to accurate interpretation of the ultrasound examination. Explains exam to the patient taking into consideration physical and emotional needs; maintaining ethical standards (patient confidentiality, professional conduct, etc.). Delivers patient care under scope of license/training
QUALIFICATIONS Must have graduated from an AMA accredited Ultrasound Program with a minimum of 12 months full time clinical ultrasound experience. Must meet the requirements and successfully complete the ARDMS certification (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
