Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist – Echo Cliffs Clinical

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join the team at Echo Cliffs Clinical in Gap, Arizona. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic examinations, operating radiologic imaging equipment, processing diagnostic images, and providing safe, high-quality imaging services to both inpatient and outpatient populations.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient-care skills, and the ability to work effectively across a diverse range of clinical specialties.

About the Facility

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is a JCAHO-accredited healthcare organization serving a large rural region of Northwestern Arizona. The organization provides healthcare services across approximately 4,400 square miles and serves as a referral center for communities throughout the western portions of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations.

The hospital has a 73-bed capacity and provides a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services, including:

Position Responsibilities

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist will:

• Perform diagnostic X-ray and radiographic examinations according to established protocols and provider orders.
• Operate radiologic equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Properly position patients and select appropriate technical factors for various examinations.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the imaging process.
• Process and evaluate radiographic images for quality and diagnostic adequacy.
• Recognize and correct technical issues that may affect image quality.
• Maintain accurate patient and examination documentation.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and applicable regulatory standards.
• Maintain appropriate infection prevention and patient safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Provide imaging support for both inpatient and outpatient services.
• Work across multiple clinical specialties, including Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, and other departments as required.
• Operate and utilize teleradiology and fax equipment as part of departmental workflow.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and work areas in accordance with department standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and strong patient-care skills in a rural healthcare environment.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technology program from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or equivalent recognized training program.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in radiologic technology.
• Demonstrated experience performing diagnostic radiographic examinations.
• Experience operating teleradiology and fax equipment.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care and imaging quality.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current and valid Arizona State Radiologic Technologist License (R).
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (ARRT(R)).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
