Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit

We are seeking an experienced PCU RN to join its fast-paced 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit, located near the Emergency Department. The unit cares for a diverse patient population with rapidly changing acuity levels, including medical patients, trauma overflow, and patients awaiting inpatient beds.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to observation and PCU-level patients.
• Manage patients ranging from lower to higher acuity.
• Care for trauma overflow patients and ED/inpatient holds.
• Adapt to frequently changing patient acuity in a fast-paced environment.
• Float to other areas within the nurse's demonstrated competency as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience in an acute-care setting.
• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• PALS – Required
• TNCC – Preferred
• Strong ability to manage changing patient acuity and a fast-paced observation environment.
• Holiday coverage is an expectation.
