Description

Cardio Thoracic ICU (CTICU) RN – Travel Assignment

Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Contract: 13 weeks, possible extension
Schedule: 3×12s or 4×12s

Days/Nights: Nights

Weekly Hours / Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours available
Local Rule: No RN candidates within 50 miles of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare

Key Requirements

2+ years CVICU/CTICU experience – Required
Previous travel experience – Preferred
Active VA or Compact RN license in hand at submission – Required
Epic proficiency – Required
BLS – AHA only
ACLS – AHA only
NIHSS
No prior license or background hits – hard requirement
Must have strong neuro/critical-care experience
Must be comfortable caring for step-down patients

Patient Population

Adult CTICU
Post-operative CABG
Acute coronary patients
NSTEMI/STEMI
CHF
Universal-bed model: ICU patients who downgrade to step-down may remain in CTICU until discharge
Typical ratio: 1:1–2
Census: 3–4
