Description:

Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians. Produces images of internal body tissues in order to diagnose and monitor a variety of conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy and cancer. Supervises and mentors ultrasound personnel. Maintains equipment.

Requirements:

Day Shift 4 x 10s; 7am to 5:30pm/Must have EPIC experience/ one day per week they will have a 3 hour window of call from 530pm-830pm. Must be able to scan breast, OB, anatomy scans, DVT, upper and lower extremity vascular studies, renal artery, carotid, abdomen, pelvis, etc. we do a lot of female breast, pelvic and OB. GE Logiq E9 and E10 machines used.

Education and Work Experience:

• Diploma/certificate from an Ultrasound college/school: Required

Licenses/Certifications:

• ACR Accredited Sites: All sonographers must be certified and currently registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI-RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS) within one year of hire: Required in CA and HI (with multiple areas Preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required
• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) or ARRT-Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S): Required
