ICU RN – Travel Assignment

Shift: 12-Hour Days | 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced ICU RN for an acute-care Level II trauma facility. The 33-bed ICU cares for adult patients with a wide range of high-acuity conditions, including trauma, cardiac cases, sepsis, stroke, respiratory distress, renal failure, and heart failure.

Requirements

• Active RN license — required at submission
• BSN required
• ICU RN experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Experience caring for adult ICU patients
• Ability to titrate cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips
• Ability to interpret and document cardiac rhythm strips

• ICU Beds: 33
• Average Daily Census: 16
• RN-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2–3
• Patient Population: Adult

• Monitoring: GE
• Tele: Yes, with tele-tech oversight

Schedule & Requirements

• Every other weekend
• Minimum of 2 holidays during the contract
• 1 shift of unit-specific orientation
• Self-scheduling available; block scheduling is not guaranteed
• RTO must be submitted upfront — 7 days or less
• No additional RTO will be approved after submission
• Floating to PCU and occasionally Med-Surg
• Typical floating ratio: 1:4 or 1:5
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment

Radius Rule

• 50-mile radius rule
• Driver's license required at submission to verify distance
• Candidates cannot be currently full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity
