Position Overview

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the Physical Therapy department. The PTA works under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) and performs treatments according to the established treatment plan.

Schedule & Visit Expectations

• 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
• Flexible shift scheduling
• 45-minute patient visits

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy treatments according to physician orders and the PT's treatment plan.
• Communicate patient status, progress, and changes with patients and physicians.
• Effectively utilize appropriate treatment modalities.
• Complete accurate patient charts, medical records, billing, and third-party reimbursement documentation.
• Coordinate with the PT regarding patient re-evaluations and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family education as part of the treatment program.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and continuing education requirements.
• Attend departmental meetings and participate in peer review and everyday practice improvement.
• Appropriately utilize supervisors and departmental resources and act as a resource to others.
• Provide care appropriate to patients' age-specific needs and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the life span.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or better in Pre-Physical Therapy or a related field — Preferred.
• New Hampshire Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license — Required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) — Required.

Recommended salary range: $60,000–$70,000/year
