Description
Dialysis RN | Syracuse, NY | 13 Weeks
A Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide specialized nursing care to patients receiving dialysis treatments in an acute care setting. The RN will assess patients, monitor treatments, operate dialysis equipment, administer medications as ordered, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Shift:
- 12-Hour Nights
- Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- 5:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Two on-call Sunday shifts per month
Requirements:
- Active New York RN License
- BLS Certification
- Acute Dialysis Experience
- CRRT or Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) experience required
Assignment Highlights:
- 13-Week Contract
- 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
- Float to affiliated hospital locations as needed
- Experience with BBraun and NxStage machines preferred
- Prior dialysis and travel experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Perform hemodialysis and dialysis-related treatments
- Monitor patient response during dialysis procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot dialysis equipment
- Provide patient education and support
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with treatment plans
