Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to support a community-based vaccination initiative in Colonie, NY.

The selected candidate will provide safe and efficient immunization services, administer a range of vaccines, and deliver compassionate, patient-focused nursing care. The role requires strong clinical skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.

PPE will be provided.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines safely and according to established clinical protocols.
• Provide immunizations including Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other applicable vaccines.
• Perform medication administration and related nursing services.
• Provide appropriate patient education and vaccination instructions.
• Interact professionally with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patients and respond appropriately to questions, concerns, or potential reactions.
• Maintain accurate patient and vaccination documentation.
• Follow applicable infection prevention, safety, and PPE procedures.
• Adapt to changing patient needs and workflow requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Contribute to a positive, compassionate, and patient-focused environment.
• Maintain professional standards of conduct and patient care at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where services are performed.
• Minimum 1 year of related nursing experience, including immunization/vaccination experience.
• Experience providing quality patient care.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability and willingness to administer vaccinations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
• Must not be listed on applicable excluded-party databases.
• Must be flexible with the required work schedule.

Preferred Experience

• Immunization and vaccination experience.
• Medication administration.
• Community or outpatient healthcare experience.
• Patient education and counseling.
• Experience working in a high-volume healthcare environment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Monday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Sunday: OFF
