Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to support a busy cardiac catheterization laboratory. The RN will assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterization, PCI, stent placement, pacemaker and ICD implantation, and vascular procedures.

The RN will also provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure care for outpatient and procedural patients.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN State License
• 2+ years of Cath Lab RN experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS/BCLS certification
• Epic experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Strong experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization

Schedule & Call

• 4×10-hour day shifts
• 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend call rotation required
• Typically 2 full weekends (Friday–Sunday) per month, depending on staffing
• Approximately 12–15 call shifts, depending on staffing and vacations
• Call will be distributed equitably with permanent staff
• Holiday and weekend rotation may be required
• Traveler may float within scope to areas such as Pre-Op, PACU, Post-Op, IVR, and OR when volumes are low

Traveler Requirements

• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted.
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required before start.
• Fit testing is required.
• Travelers must be able to meet facility requirements for respirator fit testing.
• Modules are completed prior to start and are not billable.
• RN modules may take approximately 5–6 hours.
• Travelers cannot work more than 1 year continuously as a traveler at this facility; a 6-month break is required before returning.
