Med Surg/Telemetry RN – Travel Assignment

Schedule: 3 × 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Contract: 88 weeks

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Travel experience – Required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• EPIC experience – Required
• AHA BLS – Required
• Active or conditional Massachusetts RN license
• 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in matching specialty
• Matching specialty Skills Checklist
• Must provide driver's license with address matching demographics
• Nursys verification report from within the last week showing current/active or conditional Massachusetts RN license and all past/present licenses

Unit Information

• Unit: Med Surg 6 North
• Patient Population/Conditions:
  • Post-operative general surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • GYN
  • Vascular procedures
  • Heart failure
  • Chest pain
  • Pneumonia
  • Cellulitis
  • Pancreatitis
  • Alcohol withdrawal
• Medications/Protocols: Heparin, TPN, Lasix, Cardizem, non-titrating drips, and protocols for all drips
• Rhythm Monitoring: RNs identify rhythms every 4 hours
• No central monitor technician; monitors are located on the unit

Schedule & Unit Requirements

• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call
• Floating required if needed
• RTO must be submitted at the time of submission and is not guaranteed after confirmation
• Flu vaccine required during flu season
