• Contract: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
• Weekend: Every other weekend
• Holiday: Holiday rotation

• Floating: Yes, if needed
• Scrubs: Any

Requirements

• License: Active or conditional Massachusetts RN license; NURSYS verification pulled within the last week showing all current/past licenses
• Certifications: AHA BLS
• Experience: 1–2+ years Med Surg/Telemetry
• Travel Experience: Required; first-time travelers not considered
• EMR: EPIC required
• Clinical Experience: Must be able to identify rhythms Q4
• Local Candidates: Accepted within 50 miles at local rate ($8 less than posted rate) with no stipend

Job Description / Duties / Responsibilities

• Med Surg/Telemetry nursing care.
• RNs identify cardiac rhythms every 4 hours.
• No central monitor technician; monitors are located on the unit.
• Patient population/conditions include:
  • Post-op general, orthopedic, GYN, and vascular procedures
  • Heart failure
  • Chest pain
  • Pneumonia
  • Cellulitis
  • Pancreatitis
  • Alcohol withdrawal
• Medications/therapies include Heparin, TPN, Lasix, Cardizem, and non-titrating drips.
• Protocols are available for all drips.
• Large populations speaking Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole; multilingual candidates should note fluency on their resume.

Submission Requirements

• Updated resume documenting Med Surg/Telemetry experience and travel experience.
• 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in matching specialty.
• Specialty-matched skills checklist.
• Driver's license with address matching demographics.
• NURSYS verification report from within the last week.
• RTO must be included at submission; not guaranteed after confirmation.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season.
• Profile reviewed by Clinical IVS team.
