Position: RN – likely ICU/Critical Care based on the required skills and patient ratios
Shift: Days, 3×12 hours
Hours: 36 hours/week
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Contract: Travel assignment
Weekend: Every other weekend
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Unit: 8 beds, daily census 4
Patient Population: Adults & geriatrics

Required

• Active California RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• At least 2 years of experience
• Travel experience required
• AHA or ARC certifications
• Recent Nursys verification uploaded within the last 2 weeks

Important Experience

The candidate should be comfortable with critical-care-level skills, including:

• Ventilator management
• BiPAP/CPAP
• Arterial lines
• Central/PICC lines
• CVP monitoring
• Chest tubes
• Blood products
• Continuous IV sedation/paralytics
• Cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Dysrhythmia management
• Stroke/CVA management
• Respiratory failure
• ABG interpretation
• HFNC
• IV insulin protocols
• Emergency medications

Scheduling

• 3×12-hour day shifts
• 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Every other weekend
• 13 weekend shifts during the contract
• Scheduling type: Block
• No call listed
• No float requirement listed

Local Rule

• 50-mile radius rule
• Local candidates are accepted but at the local rate.

Time Off

• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Only 1 holiday can be requested
• Holiday RTO is restricted around major holidays.

Compliance

• 7-year work history verification
• Compliance documents due 10 days before start
• Labs must be completed within 3–5 days after contract signing
• Modules are non-billable and usually take 1–5 hours
• 2 references from the last year
• Former manager information required for previous staff/travelers
