RN – Emergency Room (ER)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Room team in an acute-care setting. The ideal candidate should have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details
- Department: Nursing
- Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
- Care Setting: Acute Care
- Shift: Night Shift
- Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Orientation: 6 hours
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Experience: 3 years of Emergency Room/ED nursing experience
- Active RN License: Required; license accepted for submission
- BSN: Not required
- BLS Certification: Required
- ACLS: Required
- PALS: Required
- TNCC: Required
- Strong emergency nursing assessment and prioritization skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room.
- Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care according to patient acuity.
- Monitor patients closely and recognize changes in clinical condition.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and efficiently.
- Assist with emergency procedures and interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide timely documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered emergency care.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced ER/ED RN with 3+ years of emergency nursing experience who is confident managing a wide range of acute and emergent conditions. Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to remain effective in a fast-paced environment are essential.
