We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a Critical Access Hospital assignment in Kremmling and Granby, Colorado.

The RN will provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a Level IV Trauma environment, managing patients from admission through discharge while following established emergency-care standards, protocols, and clinical pathways.

Previous Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience is preferred.

Assignment Details

• Position: Emergency Room RN
• Setting: Critical Access Hospital
• Location: Kremmling & Granby, Colorado
• Trauma Level: Level IV
• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Call: 2 call shifts required
• Holidays: Required
• On-Call: Required
• CAH Experience: Preferred
• Housing: Shared housing may be available within 30 miles based on capacity
• RTO: All time-off requests must be disclosed during the interview process

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide emergency nursing care from admission through discharge.
• Monitor patients and recognize changes in clinical condition.
• Implement appropriate clinical pathways based on patient needs.
• Provide emergency and trauma nursing care according to established standards and protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and interventions.
• Support stabilization of patients requiring transfer to a higher level of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote safe, high-quality patient care and achievement of expected patient outcomes.
• Provide care for patients across a broad range of emergency conditions in the Critical Access Hospital setting.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS or equivalent
• TNCC

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Emergency Department experience
• Recent Emergency Room/ED RN experience
• Trauma/emergency nursing experience
• Ability to work independently in a smaller hospital environment
• Experience caring for a broad patient population
