🩺 What You'll Do

As an Emergency Department RN, you'll provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care while responding to changing patient needs in a dynamic acute-care environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and continuously evaluate patient health status.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care.
• Provide nursing interventions, treatments, and therapies based on patient condition.
• Monitor patient responses and recognize changes requiring additional intervention.
• Perform delegated medical functions within your scope of practice.
• Provide patient and family education and health counseling.
• Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Refer patients for additional evaluation or treatment when appropriate.
• Review and monitor treatment and therapy plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Utilize available clinical resources to support safe, effective patient care.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and patient acuity.
• Maintain professional standards and contribute to a collaborative patient-care environment.
• Float to other departments when required, provided the assignment is within your qualifications and competency.

✅ Requirements

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• BLS – American Heart Association
• Emergency Department / acute-care RN experience

Certifications applicable to the ED role include:

• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• Other unit-appropriate certifications as required

Preferred:

• BSN
• Previous Emergency Department experience
• Strong triage, assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
