Job Summary:
 

The CT Technologist will perform high-quality computed tomography and radiographic examinations to assist physicians with diagnosis and treatment. The technologist will follow established protocols, administer contrast safely, provide patient care, and maintain radiation safety standards.
 

Responsibilities:

• Perform CT examinations according to established protocols.
• Review patient history and differentiate between normal and abnormal anatomy to appropriately tailor exams.
• Follow radiologist instructions and modify imaging protocols when appropriate.
• Administer IV and oral contrast according to departmental and institutional protocols.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and recognize potential adverse reactions or urgent medical conditions.
• Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation.
• Provide appropriate radiation protection for patients, staff, and self using collimation and shielding when applicable.
• Assist radiologists with sterile procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Obtain patient vital signs and pertinent clinical history.
• Perform venipuncture and assist with contrast administration.
• Identify allergic reactions and other urgent conditions and promptly notify/assist the radiologist.
• Provide general patient care while in the Diagnostic Radiology department.
• Perform X-ray examinations as required.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of CT experience
• X-Ray experience – REQUIRED
• ARRT Certification – REQUIRED
• AHA BLS – REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of CT protocols, anatomy, radiation safety, and contrast administration.
• Proficiency with venous puncture and patient monitoring.
• Must complete fingerprinting during compliance.
• Must have a CT Skills Checklist completed within the past year.
• 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years.

Preferred:

• Toshiba CT Scanner experience

Submission Requirements:

• Updated work history/resume
• CT Skills Checklist – current within 1 year
• 2 supervisory reference forms – within the last 2 years
• Active ARRT certification
• Active AHA BLS
• Permanent address
• Fingerprinting during compliance

Distance Requirement:
 

Local candidates will not be considered. Candidate's permanent address must be at least 100 miles from the facility.
