Certified Surgical Technologist / OR Tech - Contract

Location: Portland, OR
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12-Hour, Day – 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Start Date: October 19, 2026

Duties :
The Certified Surgical Technologist / OR Tech will support a busy adult acute-care operating room serving a wide range of surgical specialties, with a focus on advanced oncology surgical cases. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the sterile field, assisting with surgical procedures, managing surgical equipment and instrumentation, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures. The role includes experience across vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, robotics, ENT, cardiovascular, bariatrics, thoracic, and endovascular procedures.

Requirement:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) / OR Tech experience required
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
NBSTSA certification required
BLS required
Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation
Experience in an adult acute-care operating room required
Endovascular and hybrid room experience required
Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties preferred
Experience with advanced oncology surgical cases preferred
Experience with vascular procedures, including EVAR and TEVAR, preferred
Experience with neuro, orthopedic, general, urology, gynecology, plastics, ENT, thoracic, cardiovascular, and bariatric procedures preferred
Robotics experience with Da Vinci Xi and Si systems required
Whipple experience is a hard-stop requirement
Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred
Weekend shifts may be required in place of weekday shifts based on department needs

Travel experience required Must be willing to work with a broad range of adult surgical specialties Must be willing to participate in weekday and weekend call Weekday call: 16 hours every 4 weeks Weekend call: 24 hours every 4 weeks
