TRAVEL PHARMACIST (RPh) – INPATIENT/OUTPATIENT TRANSPLANT

Position: Registered Pharmacist (RPh)
Specialty: Inpatient & Outpatient Pharmacy / Transplant
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Daily Census: Approximately 12
Charting System: Epic

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active RPh license
• Valid CA State RPh license required
• PharmD required
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience
• Transplant experience required
• Both inpatient and outpatient experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel experience not required

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Ambulatory Care / Outpatient Clinic
• Inpatient / Acute Care
• Antibiotic therapy
• Anticoagulation therapy
• Cardiac dosing
• Clinical dosing
• Pharmacokinetic dosing
• Renal dosing
• Warfarin dosing
• Therapeutic medication monitoring
• High-alert medications
• IV Piggyback medications
• IV push medications
• TPN mixing
• Compounding
• Sterile technique
• Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA)

SUTTER SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Local candidates are accepted at local rate
• Valid CA State RPh license required
• Applicable certifications must have valid expiration dates
• Certifications must be from AHA or ARC, where applicable
• 2 professional references obtained within the last year
• Return staff/travelers are accepted with no separation time required
• Former manager name must be provided on the application
• Any background or licensure hits must be disclosed with supporting documentation for facility HR review
• Maximum RTO: 7 days per contract
• Only 1 holiday may be requested as RTO per contract

HOLIDAY POLICY

Holiday periods include:

• New Year's Day
• Memorial Day

• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

Holiday periods begin at 7:00 PM the night before the holiday and end at 7:00 AM the day after the holiday.
