• Pay Range: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour (Base rate determined by experience)

We are seeking a decisive RN Nurse Supervisor to lead our night shift operations in a permanent, direct-hire role. While located physically on the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital campus with immediate access to acute-care resources, the day-to-day work environment is a Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility.

As the ranking administrative and clinical leader on-site during overnight hours, you will oversee multiple nursing units—including our highly specialized 20-bed neuro-behavioral unit—ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and a supportive environment for our staff and residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical & Operations Leadership: Oversee day-to-day clinical operations across multiple residential units during the night shift. Serve as the building's administrative leader in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
• Staff Management: Supervise, mentor, and support floor nurses (RNs/LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Assist with shift workflows, assignments, and problem-solving.
• Resident Care & Coordination: Manage late-evening/night admissions, transfers, and discharges. Collaborate with on-call physicians and coordinate acute escalations if necessary.
• Quality & Compliance: Maintain facility compliance with New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulations, ensuring accurate clinical documentation and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements & Qualifications

• License: Active, unencumbered New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
  • Proven leadership experience as a Supervisor or Charge Nurse overseeing multiple units simultaneously.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment capabilities, excellent crisis management skills, and comfort working with geriatric or neuro-psychiatric populations.

Required Certifications

• BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via the American Heart Association (AHA) or RQI system.
• CPI: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification (must be active or successfully obtained within 90 days of hire).
