• Location: Penn Yan, NY (On-site at The Homestead, located on the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital campus)
• Shift & Schedule: Day/Evening (D/E) Rotation | 8-Hour Shifts | Full-Time (37.5 to 40 hours per week) | Includes alternating weekends (EOW) and rotating holidays
• Shift Timings: Day Shift (typically 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM) & Evening Shift (typically 3:00 PM – 11:15 PM)
• Pay Range: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour (Base rate determined by experience)

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent, full-time Day/Evening rotating position. While our facility is physically located on the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital campus, the day-to-day care setting is a Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility. This role gives you the unique opportunity to provide high-quality resident care on our standard skilled nursing floors, as well as gain valuable experience within our highly specialized 20-bed neuro-behavioral unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Resident Care: Administer medications, provide wound care, perform clinical assessments, and manage treatments according to individualized care plans.
• Unit Workflow Management: Direct and delegate daily care tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on your assigned unit.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain meticulous, compliant electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulations.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, families, and mid-level providers to track resident progress and coordinate safe care transitions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• License: Active, unencumbered New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting preferred.
  • Comfort or interest working with geriatric residents and individuals with complex neuro-psychiatric or memory care needs.
• Skills: Strong clinical judgement, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a busy residential care environment.
