Labor & Delivery RN – Weston, WI

Facility: Marshfield (L&D/PP/MB unit)
Shift: 12H variable Days/Nights, mostly Days. Every other weekend and holiday.
Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 contract weeks available)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Radius Requirement: Local Rate — candidates within 80 miles have client rate reduced by $8.00/hour
Cancellation Policy: Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks

Facility Details:

• Charting System: Cerner
• 11 total unit beds (labor and postpartum patients)
• 1 OR suite for C-sections
• 1 triage bed
• ~320 births per year
• Follows AWHONN ratio guidelines
• EFM System: Novii, GE
• OB/Neonatologist in-house 24/7; OB anesthesia in-house 24/7
• RT available in-house to assist with special care nursery babies
• No tele/monitor techs on unit
• Common cases: vaginal births, C-sections, inductions, special care nursery (may not require for agency), hysterectomy — no antepartum patients
• BSN not required
• Scrubs: hospital-supplied
• Unit-specific orientation: 2 shifts

Scheduling:

• Self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts; nights are the biggest need but shifts may vary
• No call
• Weekend requirement: every third
• Holiday requirement: every other
• May pick up extra shifts when available

Floating:

• May float to other units (Med/Surg, PCU) as a helping hand/CNA/sitter only — will not take a patient load or work outside scope of practice

Requirements:

• LDRP experience required
• C-section recovery experience required (unless under general anesthesia)
• Must be able to titrate drips (epidurals, IV meds to induce labor)
• Active BLS – AHA required
• NRP required
• License to Submit: Yes
