Description
Interventional Radiology RN – Travel Contract
Position: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (IR)
Shift: Days | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Contract: 13 Weeks
Call: Shared with Franklin; currently approximately 1 call shift/month based on department needs, with Franklin RNs covering 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: As specified by contract
Position Overview
The Interventional Radiology RN provides nursing care to inpatient and outpatient patients undergoing image-guided procedures and radiology interventions. The RN will also perform PICC insertions and provide consultative support for vascular access placement.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care before, during, and after IR procedures
- Care for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients
- Assist with image-guided minimally invasive procedures
- Perform PICC insertions and support vascular access procedures
- Monitor patients and administer medications as required
- Provide patient education and recovery care
- Float onsite within the RN's skill set as needed
- Float to other sites within a 40-mile radius as required
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license in hand at submission
- BLS
- ACLS
- RN certification
- Recent Interventional Radiology experience
- EPIC experience
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Must be comfortable with call and floating requirements
Call & Holiday Requirements
- Approximately 1 call rotation per month currently
- Call is shared with Franklin RNs based on department needs
- Holidays rotate with regular staff
