Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking compassionate and adaptable Psychiatric Registered Nurses (RN) for a 16-week behavioral health assignment in West Virginia. As a Psychiatric RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and well-being.

Compensation

Travel Package

• Estimated Weekly Pay: Up to $2,182/week
• Taxable Hourly Rate: $25.50/hr
• Meals Stipend: $413/week
• Housing Stipend: $749/week
• Overtime: 1.5x after 40 hours worked

Local Pay

• $50.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychiatric nursing care.
• Monitor patients experiencing mental health and behavioral health conditions.
• Provide therapeutic communication and crisis intervention when needed.
• Administer medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and healthcare teams.
• Support patient and family education related to mental health treatment and recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification (if applicable).
• TB screening documentation (if applicable).
• Current health certificate per contract or state requirements.
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of acute psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• New graduates will be considered.
• Candidates must have full schedule flexibility and minimal requested time off.
