Description
Shift: Nights, weekends, and possible weekdays; on-call coverage
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
End Date: Ongoing until permanent provider is hired
Position Details: Inpatient hospital-based coverage supporting the cardiothoracic surgery/heart team. Adult patients; 100% inpatient.
Patient Population: Adult
Setting: Inpatient/Hospital Based; Level 2 Trauma
Responsibilities: Pre-op exams, rounding, patient care, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering/interpreting tests, assisting in surgery, prescriptions, and care coordination.
Required Procedures: Chest tube insertions, endoscopic retrieval, suture removal, surgical assistance
EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: Cardiothoracic/Heart Team
On-Call/Weekends: Required; weekend rounding Saturday/Sunday with subsequent on-call coverage
Submission Requirements: Board Certified, active PA license, ACLS, BLS, 3+ years cardiothoracic experience, local provider, clean background
