Practice Highlights
Provide cardiothoracic surgery APP coverage for an acute care hospital
Weekend coverage runs Friday 5 PM through Monday 7 AM
Average callback, including rounding, is approximately 4 hours/day
Support urgent surgical cases, including patients transitioning from the cath lab to surgery
Manage patients from ICU through discharge when clinically appropriate
Vein harvesting is among the specialized procedures performed
Surgeon available for backup after consultation
Hospital has approximately 163 beds
Adult patient population, age 18+
Approximately 3 weekends of coverage needed per month

Temporary privileges may be available with a clean file

Requirements
Physician Assistant
Active Pennsylvania PA license
Minimum 3 years of experience
DEA required
Acute Care certification is not required
Cardiothoracic/cardiac surgery experience preferred
Must be comfortable with adult cardiothoracic surgery patients and urgent surgical coverage
Clean credentialing file for consideration of temporary privileges
