*Manager: The team wanted me to pass on the importance of having experience/comfort with both mother and baby.
Our Family Birth Center has a level 2 nursery and we labor/postpartum in the same room/dept.
Having the RN competent with both labor/postpartum and nursery care is important.
L&D RN – Days.
13 weeks.
1 opening.
Shift Notes: 3-12s, 7a-7p, EOW may be required.
36 hours.
At least 2 years’ experience.
ACLS, BLS, and NRP required.
OLD INFO:
• Shift start/end times: 7pm – 7 am minimum of 3/12 hour shifts per week.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other - maximum.
• Certs Required: BLS, NRP, ACLS.
• # Beds/Suites in the unit: 10 bed LDRP with Level II Nursery, one Operating Suite.
• # Deliveries Per Month:50-65.
• Scrub Colors: OR green – hospital provided/ changing locker room.
• Any other specific unit details or experience requirements? All our RNs are crossed trained for Labor and Delivery/ Couplet Care/ Newborn Nursery/ Level II Nursery and circulating of C-Sections.
Main emphasis would be experienced Labor and delivery RN

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.
Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
