HISTOTECHNOLOGIST — Job Details

Facility: Samaritan Medical Center
Location: Watertown, NY
Specialty: Histotechnologist / Histology
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days
Start Time: 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week

Required Experience

2+ years of histology experience required
Experience with:
- Tissue processing
- Embedding
- Microtomy/cutting
- Surgical and autopsy tissue
- Tissue staining
- Cytopathology specimen preparation/staining
- Specialized/selective diagnostic techniques
- Quality Assurance

Education / Certification

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry, OR
HTL certification from a recognized agency
Histotechnician AAS listed as a license/education requirement

License

New York State license required

Key Candidate Requirements

Must have:

2+ years Histo experience
NY State license
Histotechnician AAS
Required education or HTL certification
Able to work 5:30 AM/6:00 AM start times
Must meet the 100-mile radius/travel-only rule
