Stress Lab Technologist / Radiologic Technologist – Travel Assignment

• Position: Stress Lab Technologist / Radiologic Technologist
• Facility: Duke LifePoint Hospital
• Location: Clyde, North Carolina
• Shift: Day Shift – 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Schedule: Full-time
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
• Contract: 91 weeks
• Reason for Opening: Coverage for Leave
• Orientation: Bi-weekly
• Upcoming Start Dates: 10/12/2026 or 10/26/2026

Local / Travel Requirement

• Local Rate: $45/hour
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel position.

Required Licensure & Certifications

Required:

• Active Radiologic Technologist/Technician License
• Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible
• Active membership/registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• AHA BLS – required within 30 days of hire

Stress Lab Requirements

For the Stress Lab Technologist role, candidate must have:

Option 1:

• Registered ARRT Radiologic Technologist – RT(R)

OR

Option 2:

• NMTCB certification
• OR Registered ARRT Nuclear Medicine – RT(N)

Education

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program

Experience

• Hospital training completed during an approved two-year Radiologic Technologist program
• Experience in other X-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

The Stress Lab Technologist will:

• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions appropriately
• Prepare preliminary paperwork for cardiologist interpretation
• Perform exercise stress tests
• Perform pharmaceutical stress tests
• Perform echo stress tests
• Recognize chest pain and arrhythmias during stress testing
• Obtain immediate assistance and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Monitor, receive, and stock stress lab supplies
• Disassemble, clean, and sterilize equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot minor equipment/procedure issues
• Make necessary adjustments during procedures
• Prepare recordings for physician interpretation
• Collect and/or review relevant medical history and medication information
• Ensure the appropriate study is performed according to the physician's order
• Assist with computerized charting
• Work with MUSE and Paragon systems
• Participate in department improvement initiatives
• Support testing efficiency and quality initiatives
• Help achieve optimal patient outcomes

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced Radiologic Technologist/Stress Lab Technologist with the appropriate ARRT or nuclear medicine credentials, strong critical-thinking skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Experience with stress testing, cardiac patients, arrhythmia recognition, MUSE, and Paragon is particularly relevant.
