Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe and comprehensive Med/Surg nursing care.
• Monitor patients through telemetry and recognize dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, insulin, and blood products.
• Manage IVs, PICC lines, central lines, feeding tubes, drains, and chest tubes.
• Provide wound care and Wound VAC management.
• Manage oxygen therapy, including HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, and non-invasive airway support.
• Follow isolation and infection-control precautions.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC.
• Communicate patient status using SBAR.
• Respond appropriately to rapid-response situations.
• Float to other units as required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Med/Surg experience
• BLS/BCLS required
• EPIC experience
• Telemetry experience
• Strong IV, central/PICC line, and blood product management skills.
• Experience with wound care/Wound VAC, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and oxygen therapy.
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must pass EKG testing before start
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours/week
• Willingness to float as required.
