Description
Occupational Therapist - Contract
Location: Seward, AK
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour, Day – 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Start Date: October 20, 2026
Duties :
The Occupational Therapist will provide therapy services across outpatient, acute care, and long-term care/swing bed settings within a small critical access hospital. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and supporting patients with activities of daily living, pediatric needs, orthopedic conditions, and other rehabilitation goals. The therapist will work within their scope to meet facility needs.
Requirement:
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience
- Alaska Occupational Therapy license required
- NBCOT certification required
- BLS required
- Acute care and outpatient experience required
- Long-term care/swing bed experience preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Experience with activities of daily living, hip fractures and total hip replacements, knee injuries and total knee replacements, hand injuries and rehabilitation, prosthetics and orthotics, static/dynamic/functional/serial splints, electrical stimulation, TENS, ultrasound, biofeedback, edema massage, and feeding techniques
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must be willing to provide coverage across outpatient, acute care, and long-term care/swing bed settings
