POSITION: RN- NICU-Based Float Pool

REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

? License Requirements: Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission

? Required Certifications: BLS; NRP; PALS


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & CLINICAL SKILLS
=====================================
? Experience Required: 1.5 years; Must have documented NICU Level III and PICU experience in employment history

? IV therapy/Medications: A-line management; Central Line/Implanted Line Care; UAC/UVC; IV vasopressors; Steroids; Surfactants

? Cardiac/Respiratory: Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management; Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)

? GI/Neuro: Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage); Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes; Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome


SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

? Charting: EPIC experience required

? Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

? RTO, Block & Scheduling Requests: Priority given to submits with a screenshot confirming RTO and schedule requests. No requests approved after offer.

? Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

? Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, per unit needs

? Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

? Locals Accepted: Yes, Locals accepted at the same rate.


UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

? Ratios: Patient ratios vary based on unit, acuity, census and staffing

? Scrubs: Navy Pants, Peds Top

? Floating: This is a NICU-based float pool with floating to PICU, Peds, NBN. An appropriate patient assignment based on skill set will be provided when floated; floating is required without exception.
