Description
Histology Technician – Travel Contract
Start Date: 10/19/2026 | Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM
Facility: Acute Care Hospital
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience; strong grossing experience is a hardstop.
- Hospital experience is mandatory.
- First-time travelers accepted only with 10+ years of strong experience.
- ASCP-HT and Associate’s Degree in Science preferred.
- CA license preferred.
Key Skills:
- Grossing and routine Anatomical Pathology specimens.
- Embedding, cutting blocks, microtomy, cryostat, and frozen sections.
- Automated IHC and manual special stains.
- GI, skin, fatty, hard, small and large specimen processing.
- Cytology preparation including ThinPrep, cell blocks, cytospins, and GYN specimens.
