RN Med Surg / TELE | Columbia, MO | 13 Weeks

University of Missouri Hospital is seeking an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment. This unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with telemetry monitoring needs, including AKI, shortness of breath, chest pain, cardiac cath patients, thyroid cancer, and post-surgical patients.

Shift:

• 3x12 Nights

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• 36 Guaranteed Hours

Pay:

• Up to $2,000/week

Requirements:

• Active MO or Compact RN License

• BLS

• Telemetry Experience Required

• Minimum 1 Year Experience Accepted

• First-Time Travelers Welcome

Patient Ratio:

• 1:5–6

Skills:

• Telemetry Monitoring

• Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation

• IV Starts and Maintenance

• PICC Line Management

• Central Line Care

• Surgical Drains

• Colostomy/Ileostomy Care

• Feeding Tube Management

• Rapid Response Participation

Unit Highlights:

• 26-Bed Unit

• Cerner EMR

• IV Team, RT, Pharmacy, Social Work, Rapid Response Team Support

Common Diagnoses:

• AKI

• Shortness of Breath

• Chest Pain

• Thyroid Cancer

• Post-Cardiac Catheterization Patients

• Post-Hysterectomy Patients

Additional Details:

• Every Other Weekend

• Must Work 50% of Contract Holidays

• Floating Required

• No Locals Within 50 Miles

• Orientation: 12 Hours
